This position will work closely with cross-functional teams and factories to provide technical support (mainly but not limited to vanity, shower door, bathtub, toilet, lighting, furniture etc.) to ensure project objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
a. Assist Engineers and product development team in the design and development of new products or systems. Review and evaluate new product samples. Prepare sample reports.
b. Search and collect relevant existing standards and assist in developing new standards for testing critical components or new products. Analyze test results and provide feedback for improvement. Work closely with factories to establish test conditions and ensure that the factory fully understands and implements the tests.
c. Assist Engineers to improve and validate the instruction manuals before releasing them to the factory.
d. Communicate with the factories and Product Development team to obtain sufficient information to validate and create the list of replacement parts (BOM) under the spare part nomenclature. Identify the generic parts between various products to minimize the spare parts inventory. Update and maintain the spare part data in MIS and SAP system.
e. Collaborate with multiple teams to identify and address any quality or safety issues.
f. Assist with project planning, implementation, and monitoring. Coordinate with engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements:
a. Bachelor's degree, major in Manufacturing, Engineering Management, or Furniture Design. b. Minimum 5 years related working experience in trading or furniture related companies. Having Vanity/ shower door/ furniture related products background. c. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to identify improvement opportunities from the testing results and the information provided by customers. d. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills. e. Familiar with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD drawings software. f. Good English skill in speaking and written, CET-6 level or above is preferred. g. Understanding the laboratory testing process for /Vanity/ shower door/ furniture related products will be a plus. h. Travel needed based on business requirements.
