I. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Lead from engineering perspective with other operational departments to ensure NPI and repeating orders are managed in the triple constraint of quality, cost and scheduling 2. Provide technical suggestions to clients from a manufacturing perspective, which is workable for our best fit supplier portfolio 3. Lead in new product introduction, mold opening evaluation, process risk feasibility evaluation and overall planning of project introduction progress before SOP. 4. Assist in project cost control, continuously monitor and control the project direct and indirect costs. 5. Assure internal procedures are followed throughout the process and key milestones/gating are validated with adequate proof. 6. Complete other temporary tasks assigned by the superior.
II. EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
1. At least bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. 2. 5 years’ experience in product development and manufacturing. 3. Familiar with industrial manufacturing. 4. Strong technical and engineering background - General knowledge of all common manufacturing techniques with a preference for Plastics and Metal shaping + different product typologies 5. Proficiency with CAD system preferred. CREO(PTC, Pro-engineer)and SolidWorks knowledge preferred. 6. Familiar in working in a 'cross-functional' organization where QA, Procurement, Engineering, Production is tied up altogether. 7. Good English, verbal and written. 8. knowledge and experience in electronics can be extra appealing. 9. Practical knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma as quality systems 10. Experience of evaluating new suppliers 11. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with regard to DfM for metal, plastic and electronic components and assemblies.
