教学助理（科学科组）Teaching Assistant(Science)


Responsibilities:
Position Description:
The Teaching Assistant (TA) supports the work of teacher inside and outside of the classroom with tasks and responsibilities that promote student learning. The expectation is that TAs are paraprofessionals and shall perform clerical work only when necessary. TAs will be assigned to subject area departments and report to the department chair. The department will determine the TA’s scheduled assignments with individual teachers. Should the department determine that a Teaching Assistant needs particular support related curriculum or instruction, they shall be referred to the NCPA Curriculum Coordinator. This is a year-round contract position intended to be an eight (8) hours a day, five (5) days a week position scheduled in conformance with Chinese labor law.
教学助教负责在课堂内外协助任课老师，完成老师安排的任务与承担促进学生学习责任。教学助教是老师的专职助手，在必需时负责文件处理工作。助教将被分配到各科目部门，并向部门主管老师汇报，由他们负责评价助教的工作表现。各科目部门老师与EAL老师讨论后，将安排助教任务，协助每个任课老师。如果科目部门老师认为需要为助教提供课程上与教学上特别帮助的，他们将移交给课程总监或初/高中部副校长处理。助教是一个签订整年合同的职位，每天工作8小时，一周工作5天，工作时间符合中国劳动法的规定。
1. Assist teachers with preparation and clean-up of lessons, projects and events as directed by the classroom teacher, Head of Department or Department Chair. This work includes but is not limited to: 协助老师进行课堂计划及按照任课教师，科目组组长的指示清理课堂、项目和活动。工作包括但不限于:
*Translating assessment instructions and rubrics to ensure clarity of the expectations for all students—particularly our emerging and developing English language learners—and maximize students’opportunities to illustrate their learning. 2. Assist teachers and facilitate classroom activities by: 通过以下方式协助教师并促进课堂活动：

* Assisting teachers in leveraging Chinese language and culture in the classroom to facilitate learning, including but not limited to, translation. 6. Under the supervision of the NCPA Librarian, Library Assistant or other designated individual, complete an inventory of departmental resources using Follet Destiny at the end of each school year. Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science or other relative majors

2. Excellent communication skills, including strong English skills

3. The ability to work with people of every kind – Chinese or Western
