GENERAL SUMMARY The primary purpose of this job is to grow sales through various proactive selling techniques. Being responsible for all cooling tower sales activities and increasing revenue and grow market share. This includes but not limited to tender or quote preparation, project management and technical support to SPX Cooling Technologies agents, distributors and customers. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) - Manage individual representatives with booking and revenue goals - Lead local sales to drive sales, supporting reps and internal pipeline management - Work closely with AE team to provide training to new and existing reps - Support channel expansion for HVAC products - Responsible for assigned region and regional key accounts - Actively pursue key/strategic accounts in hopes of developing into account status - Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users - Work with the cross-functional sales team to maximize sales in the given territory - Evaluate needs of the customer and provide technical solutions that best fit the Company’s product portfolio - Contact and meet with customers to discuss all aspects of proposals and close opportunities - Meet territory sales and standard margin goals - Develop and cultivate customer relationships by meeting with customers, conducting presentations, and discussing existing projects - Solicit and analyze customer feedback for product performance and value - Develop competitive analyses and strategic positioning plans for each account - Provide expert product knowledge across all Evaporative Cooling product lines - Build cross-functional relationships externally and internally to support accounts - Other duties assigned by the manager EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - B.S. Cooling Technology related field and at least 8 years sales experience with industrial companies - Have sales team management and distributor developing/management experience is priority. - Have sales experience in tier 1 or tier 2 marketing (not price based sales) is priority SKILLS: - Good communication and influencing skills - Problem solving skills - Planning & organizing skills with strong team work spirt - Ability to act independently and consistently to represent SPX to protect the company image and business needs. - Must have excellent organizational skills to prioritize and meet customer
