Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Construction Specialist with a minimum of 5 years in the procurement of construction materials, particularly in modular construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, purchasing, and drafting related to the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Source and procure construction materials (a focus on modular construction). 2. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors. 3. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers. 4. Draft detailed procurement documents, including contracts, purchase orders, and other related documents. 5. Create and review technical drawings and plans for construction projects. 6. Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines. 7. Monitor market trends and identify new suppliers and products. 8. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand material requirements. 9. Manage inventory levels and ensure quality standards are met. Prepare reports and analysis on procurement activities.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 years experience in the procurement of construction materials. 2. Strong understanding of modular construction processes and materials. 3. High level of written and spoken English 4. Experience with exports to Australia and Australian building codes and requirements. 5. Proficiency in drafting procurement documents. 6. Capability in creating technical drawings and plans. 7. Excellent negotiation, communication and project management skills.
