HKUST(GZ) has obtained approval from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and become the first legally-independent educational institution co-established by the Mainland and Hong Kong since the announcement and implementation of the “Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” and the “Overall Plan for Deepening Globally Oriented Comprehensive Co-operation amongst Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Nansha of Guangzhou”. With a spirit of pioneering innovation, HKUST(GZ) charts new territories in cross-disciplinary education and explores new frontiers in pedagogies, aiming to serve as a role model of the mainland-Hong Kong integrated educational development and become a world-famous high-level university, endeavoring to nurture future-oriented, high-level and innovative talents. HKUST(GZ) comprises four Hubs, namely Function Hub, Information Hub, Systems Hub, Society Hub and offers 15 postgraduate degrees. The admission of undergraduate students will begin in 2023, with the first batch of programs covering artificial intelligence, data science and big data technology. The Institute of Education Innovation and Practice (IEIP) reports to the Vice-President for Teaching and Learning (VPTL) and leads the pedagogy and curricular innovation and its implementation on campus. It conducts educational research, develops supporting policies, procedures and guidelines, monitors teaching and learning performance and provides relevant training to faculty members, staffs and students. IEIP also organize high-level conferences and workshops by inviting world renowned scholars and experts with expertise in education to foster greater understanding of education sector, bridge closer ties, and more productive exchanges with peer universities. Under the umbrella of IEIP, the Department of Teaching and Learning Outreach (TLO) is responsible for the overall promotion and outreach of Vice-President (Teaching & Learning) Office (VPTLO), by operating social media accounts, managing events, constructing Undergraduate Education website and VPTLO website, designing promotional materials, communicating with other departments and maintaining relationships with external media. Duties Department of Teaching and Learning Outreach (TLO) is seeking candidates with the combination of planning, writing and communication skills to thrive as a full-time Public Affairs Officer. The role is responsible for the construction of the HKUST(GZ) Undergraduate Education website and VPTLO website. 1. Responsible for (or assist in) the construction of the Undergraduate Education website and VPTLO website, including planning the website structure, following up the design work, drafting content, etc. 2. Draft news and articles for Undergraduate Education website , VPTLO website and official account; 3. Assist the Director in the policies and procedures formulation, program design, project and personnel management, etc. 4. Coordinate office activities and operations to ensure high efficiency and compliance with the Internal policies and regulations. 5. Responsible for the administration of the department of Innovative Post-graduation Programs, including agendas management, travel arrangements, account management, financial support, data statistic, archive management, reports submission and presentation preparation etc. 6. Follow up any other tasks assigned by the superior. 任职要求: 1. A good Bachelor's degree, and a Master's degree or above with 2 years of relevant experiences in public/new media or administrator role or project management, and in public/new media or university or educational related areas is preferred. 2. Be highly responsible, meticulous, cheerful, a fast learner and a team-work player, able to work under high pressure. 3. Have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. 4. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. This is a Mainland appointment, and the appointee will be offered a contract by HKUST(GZ) entity in accordance with the Mainland labor laws and regulations.
