Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Design to interpret sketched designs into technical specifications, working with garment and mill vendors to define materials, and prototypes for samples and production ready garments, meeting both the aesthetic need as well as adhering to VM fit, construction, and quality standards. The buyer will be responsible for managing the critical path for production to ensure it meets brand requirements. 1. Work closely with Design, retail/EC teams to ensure proper product mix being put into development as well as ability to provide feedback on construction, fabrication and fit 2. Effective communication and cooperation with suppliers. Make sure all the production details are aligned with our requirements, such as pattern, color, fabric, price, etc. 3. Manage production calendar deadlines with internal and external partners to ensure the timely delivery of product. 4. Negotiating the prices and delivery dates with selected suppliers. 5. Monitoring production to ensure compliance with the agreed terms and conditions. 6. Oversee order placement and tracking to ensure timely receipt of merchandise 7. Provide guidance to junior members on how to solve discrepancies & troubleshoot issues 8. Ensure that in-season repeats achieve company standards in terms of lead time, cost, mark up and quality. 9. Regular visits to supplier factories to review production, understand the current working level. put action plans in place for each supplier, with deadlines, to track their improvement.
Requirements: 1. At least 3 years garment buying or production experience 2. Ability to independently deliver end to end product development 3. Good understanding of womenswear trends, good fashion sense 4. Ability to understand business and data 5. Passionate in Fashion industry 6. Fast learner, organized, high efficient, work under pressure 7. Fluent English
