ABOUT YOUR ROLE As Quality Manager in China you will provide contribution in China for China strategy from suppliers development, quality audit and product compliance certification. At the same time, you will also provide a direction to APAC RFID Inlay & Converting locations and customers to quickly resolve any escalation with AD Smartrac resource.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE - Focus on RFID technology quality and methodologies for inlay, converting, print/encode of client in Apparel, Retails industry (including Licensed Channel Partners) in North APAC market, including China, Japan, South Korea, etc.). - Identify, document, enforce compliance to clients from Apparel/Retails industry and Channel quality requirements for related functional stakeholders in driving business project success to build credibility with end to end clients. - Manages customer complaint resolution process, while also supporting Sales, Engineering and Marketing to resolve product quality issues. - Drive Functional stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction with the quality and agility of solutions responses & initiatives. - Ensure timely deliverables of key escalated quality issues by interacting and driving root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and/or countermeasures with production and local QC personnel, Suppliers, and other functions as needed (PLT, R&D). - Devise and implement world-class quality knowledge and practice (e.g., 8D, Pareto Analysis, Histograms, Cause & Effect Diagrams, PFMEA / QCP, SPC / Cpk, etc.) leveraging on other key functional teams. - Organize regular reviews with regional inlay manufacturing sites to understand performance metrics and best practices sharing. Ensure end-to-end quality in the RFID manufacturing process through monitoring and auditing of production facilities. - Ability to lead and drive key projects within function in support of continuous improvement and the overall RFID quality strategy. - Coordinate, document, enforce the efficient information flow of product specifications and quality control plans with key business function teams such as MDM,R&D, Platform, Operations, and Product Line Management. - Knowledge of Quality standards and test procedures as necessary to comply with Quality system requirements (i.e. ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001, ISO13845, IATF, etc). Lead auditor Certification preferred. - Other tasks assigned by the Global Quality leader.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU -Bachelor’s degree required with a preferred major of Light Chemical, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. -10+ years of related quality engineering experience required. -Strong knowledge and acumen in RFID operation or application technology is preferred. -Working knowledge of printing technologies including flexo, thermal, offset, digital, and inkjet is preferred. -Detail-oriented with strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills. -Ability and demonstrated ability to interface with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements, especially in cases of escalations. -Ability to work well across global boundaries with all levels of management, employees, and willingness to work on a “global-clock”. -Willingness to travel up to 50% or greater. -Excellent communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information, and ideas in a tactful and confident matter to internal and external contacts. -Ability to prioritize and meet expectations in a fast-paced environment. -Excellent problem solving skills. -Experience working with Google platforms.
