岗位职责:
HSBC Global Research is an independent research house with a strong focus on Emerging Markets (EMs). We have 350 analysts covering 1,900 companies globally. Our analysts, based out of 24 countries, are spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa.
With a particular focus on EMs, as well as environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, we provide regular comment and analysis on topics including economics, currencies, fixed income and equities. Our goal is to generate unrivalled investment opportunities for our clients by sharing our insights and creating thought-provoking ideas.
As a member of the Global Research team in Guangzhou, you will be working with an onshore counterpart on financial modelling, analysis and report writing to support the research output in the Asian equity/strategy research.
What you’ll do:
61 Work closely with onshore analyst based out of Hong Kong
61 Create, maintain and update models on a regular basis with guidance from onshore counterparts
61 Conduct fundamental and financial analysis on industry and individual companies
61 Make meaningful contributions to research reports with guidance from onshore counterparts
61 Maintain and update various databases
61 Track and analyse regulatory changes and their impact on our coverage
61 Keeps the global team appraised of new developments by monitoring news and events
61 Work on various client requests independently and in a timely and accurate manner
61 Work on global products, when required
61 Respond quickly, efficiently and accurately to ad-hoc requests

Skill Set
61 Ability to read and write Mandarin
61 Competitive proficiency in written and spoken English, fluency in Japanese
61 Knowledge and understanding of various valuation methodologies and metrics as well as financial modelling skills would be expected
61 Good written and oral/presentation skills
61 Proficient in written and spoken English and Mandarin/Cantonese
Qualifications
61 Post Graduate Finance / MBA or equivalent from a reputed university
61 Candidates who are CPA/CFA Charter holders or pursuing CPA/CFA will be preferred
Experience
61 Minimum 1-2 years in a related field within Financial Services
61 Understanding of financial markets and various asset classes is a must
