Job ID: 0000KSXP Description The Business Development category is responsible for generating new business and for initiating and managing business development initiatives. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team. In this role, you will: Lead a team of business development managers, assist branch head to plans, directs and controls the business activities to achieve business strategy and sales target; Lead the team and co-work with branch head in establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers; Assisting in the communication of new products, propositions and relevant market information to distribution channels; Proactively identifying sales opportunities and develop these opportunities; Supporting distribution channel business development strategies; Supporting plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing ones, in order to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets; Collaborating with internal stakeholders, which may include branch division managers, branch managers, relationship mangers and product specialists, to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank; Participating in events, initiatives and activities to develop business opportunities; Protecting the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews; This role reports on a solid basis to Branch Head, Guangdong; Authority to make decisions within a framework of HSBC Groups/INSH governance matrix between head office and branch office, local regulations within branch or sales office scope; Support New Branch Sales Model; Support Needs Based Selling Model. Qualifications To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements: - 8 years and above working experience in Life Insurance, prefer to be experienced in front line sales; - Possess the ability to apply entrepreneurial and commercial thinking to delivering business performance - Possess strategic thinking capability; - Commercially-minded with strong business acumen; - Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English & Chinese – must be able to communicate effectively both internally with Group executives and teams and externally with customers; - Excellent interpersonal skills – excellent customer relationship and partnership relationship management; - Excellent judgment and decision-making skills – able to make business-aligned and timely decisions.
