Major Responsibilities and Objectives: Pre-Contract Period: 1. Reviewing cost plans and estimates provided by QS consultant at the design phase; 2. Assisting project manager to formulate tendering plan; 3. Providing professional advices on tender documents compiled by QS consultant; 4. Coordinating relevant parties to complete bidding activities.
Post-Contract Period: 1. Performing cost controls and change management activities throughout the project lifecycle; 2. Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change processes are managed effectively; 3. Reviewing the applications for interim payments; 4. Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed in a timely manner.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements 1. Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Cost Construction Management, Civil/Architectural Engineering, or a related technical field from recognized polytechnic; 2. Minimum of 10 years experiences in quantity surveying and cost control in construction or property management field; 3. Proven record of successfully delivering major projects or programs; 4. Professional qualification is a preference; 5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to supervise team members; 6. A good understanding of standard forms of contracts; 7. Good English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
