DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES/任务和职责
- The purpose of the position is to identify the customer needs and provide the best technical solution to customer. Coordinate all company resources to meet customer needs, maximize SEF Metal Fastener Products penetration in customers.
- Closely work with SEF sales and customer engineering in the identification of customer technical requirements, specifications and preferences and to develop the new business.
- Based on company existing technology and products, develop or identify suitable Metal Fastening Solutions (Product & Use recommendations) to meet customer specific application needs. Exploring and expanding new application area for Metal Fastener Products.
- Conduct in-house testing, identify the technical advantages in customer application needs
- Conduct customer on-site assembly test, delivery on-site technical support to customers.
- Support quality department on technical and application issues.
- Cooperate with Plant Engineering, lead the Class-2 projects to modify existing products to fit with Customer specific applications.
- Identify the technical pain points and work with Product Engineering for Class-3 and above NPD.
- Support Value Analysis and Value Engineering initiatives to understand application problems encountered by customers (Failure Analysis, Tear Down, Line Review, etc.)
- Develop and maintain a good customer support and a positive image through the Customer contacts.
- Provide technical analysis/training to various groups (Internal and External) on product application.
- Complete and submit on a timely basis all required internal information, reports and documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS/个人能力描述
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related majors.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Technical Customer Support Engineering position involved in R&D and / or Product Development work in an industrial products environment (Preferred in Fastening Industry), technical knowledge in threaded fastener and blind rivet fastener and blind rivet nut is must, other metal fastener experience is preferred.
- Computer literate and familiar with the use of AutoCAD and other similar engineering design software.
- Fastener testing knowledge and experience is must, capable of using testing tools and designing testing fixtures.
- Good English communication skills (Written and Spoken)
- Knowledge and experience dealing with customers in Automotive Industry
- Ability to communicate with and understand customer needs and requirements
- Able to build strong and dependable teamwork to meet customer requirements
- Decisive and confident with a strong sense of urgency and personal commitment.
- Possesses excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional/trade publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
