In response to the increasingly complex challenges faced by the rapidly changing world, HKUST(GZ) adopts a brand-new and cross-disciplinary academic structure featuring “Hub” and “Thrust” to substitute the conventional one characterized by “school” and “department”, facilitating cross-disciplinary integration while vigorously developing emerging and frontier disciplines. This is a groundbreaking move in the higher education community across the globe. The Institute of Education Innovation and Practice (IEIP), reporting to the Vice-President for Teaching and Learning (VPTL), leads initiatives in pedagogical and curricular innovation on campus. IEIP conducts educational research, develops supporting policies, procedures, and guidelines, monitors teaching and learning performance, and provides relevant training for faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, IEIP organizes high-level conferences and workshops, inviting world-renowned scholars and experts in education to foster a deeper understanding of the education sector, strengthen ties, and facilitate productive exchanges with peer universities. Under the umbrella of IEIP, the Office of the Institute of Education Innovation and Practice (IEIPO) is responsible for human resources management, logistical operations, financial administration, administrative services, and internal and external liaison, as well as academic support for faculty. Its core functions include facilitating staff recruitment and management, and coordinating procurement, asset management, and space allocation to optimize resource efficiency. Furthermore, IEIPO actively engages with internal departments, external stakeholders, and governmental bodies, delivering comprehensive administrative support to ensure the seamless execution of the IEIP’s daily operations, events, and academic initiatives. Duties The IEIPO Officer will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive administrative, logistical, and strategic support to the Institute of Education Innovation and Practice (IEIP), ensuring operational excellence and fostering the institute's mission of pedagogical and curricular innovation. Key Responsibilities 61 Serve as a key liaison to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between internal departments, external stakeholders, and government agencies, ensuring alignment with institutional goals. 61 Draft, review, and refine official documents and reports, ensuring precision, clarity, and adherence to institutional standards and objectives. 61 Oversee procurement processes and asset management, ensuring regulatory compliance and the efficient utilization of resources. 61 Deliver comprehensive administrative support to facilitate the efficient execution of daily operations, institutional events, and strategic initiatives. 61 Prepare and improve workflow documents and standard operating procedures to support efficient operations. 61 Perform additional tasks as assigned by the department supervisor. 任职要求: 61 A bachelor’s degree or higher, with at least three years of experience in administrative management and support, preferably in an academic or research environment. 61 Strong organizational and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail. 61 Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 61 Strong writing skills with experience in drafting formal documents, reports, and administrative workflows. 61 Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering collaboration and maintaining professional relationships. 61 Bilingual proficiency in both Chinese and English. This is a Mainland appointment, and the appointee will be offered a contract by HKUST(GZ) entity in accordance with the Mainland labor laws and regulations.
