Overview:
We are seeking a Textile Fabric Technology Expert with deep expertise in fabric production processes.
This role requires a highly technical expert who will support fabric innovation and quality across our global production network, working closely with regional factories and development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support duplication of new Delta fabric development, align with the R&D center in Israel to ensure that new developments can be effectively duplicated across regions in the Far East.
2. On-site Troubleshooting: Travel to factories (primarily in China, Egypt, Vietnam, and other key locations) to provide hands-on support.
Resolve production issues on-site and collaborate with teams to meet exact
specifications for fabric replication and enhancement.
3. Fabric Innovation and Development: Collaborate with product development teams to drive innovative solutions for core and new fabric types.
4. Technical Oversight and Quality Assurance: Act as a technical expert, overseeing the entire fabric production process, including knitting, dyeing, and finishing.
5. Sourcing of new concept/fabrics/treatments through all suppliers in the
FE. Stay up to date on Yarns & Fabric Textile exhibition and industry trends in fabric technology, identifying and integrating new materials and manufacturing advancements into production strategies. To bring to Delta new ideation and innovation that the suppliers are working for themselves or for others.
6. Customer and Production Liaison: Serve as the link between customer requirements and factory capabilities, ensuring all production meets customer standards and addressing any technical adjustments as needed.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in fabric manufacturing processes.
- Technical expertise in fabric production processes, including weaving, knitting, dyeing, and
finishing techniques.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting and resolving on-site production issues in collaboration
with factory teams.
- Ability to work across international teams, with a preference for familiarity with Chinese market dynamics and production regulations.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Chinese or other relevant languages is an advantage
