OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB: Coordinates, develops and manages the Credit department to accomplish established strategic and operational goals. Directs policies, procedures and processes to ensure the operations accurately reflect the credit risk exposure of the business, provide reliable information to control the business, and ensure optimal customer credit control. Position ensures the Credit Department is in alignment with strategic objectives and performance goals for credit and collection activities. Works closely with Customer Service and Commercial organization to settle disputes on collection issues Brief Job Description: 84*1.Executes management responsibility for Credit operations. Directs policies/procedures, processes and strategic plans for the Credit Department’s business units domestically. 84*2. Coordinates, develops and manages the performance of Credit Analysts by defining account abilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to. 84*3. Works closely with sales, marketing and financial management to ensure the maximizing of revenue growth for the company while minimizing the financial risk on customer accounts. 84*4. Evaluates and possesses knowledgeable expertise surrounding credit worthiness, financial statement analysis, cash management and bankruptcy codes. Establishes guidelines and procedures for the department’s objectives surrounding these criteria. 84*5. Works closely with Customer Service and Commercial organization to settle disputes on collection issues. 84*6. Meets and negotiates with customers and account managers to discuss and evaluate credit worthiness, credit issues and improve customer satisfaction within the Finance organization. 84*7. Implements and manages financial analysis programs/credit scoring models. Initiates best practice sharing across the team. Performs autonomously, initiates and manages complex, departmental and/or cross-company work. 84Periodically reviews and updates existing goals for the group and provides recommendations for process improvement. 84Manages the performance of direct reports by defining account abilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and ensures that all policies are understood and adhered to. 84Successfully handles most non-routine issues, escalates to management on a timely manner, issues that cannot be resolved 84Supports the timely reporting of key financial information and monitor the performance and quality of the activities performed based on agreed upon KPIs and SLAs adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills 84Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team 84Complies with all client published policies and procedures and any legal and regulatory requirements that the company is obliged to adhere to
Knowledge: 84University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with generally six years of directly related experience some which includes level 5 managerial skills. 84Demonstrated ability to interpret financial risks and gains when analyzing financial data. 84Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and calculate the financial impact opportunities for the company. 84Demonstrated ability to manage departmental objectives, staffing and budgets. 84Detailed knowledge of the fundamentals of accounting and finance. 84Detailed knowledge of statistics Good comprehensive ability to communicate in English
