This position is responsible for providing the process, equipment, engineering technology and expertise required to achieve the strategic business imperatives for the Personal care in Asia. in partnership with Global Technical Centers for delivering the new product grid. Work with the E2E supply chain in the region to develop the Oral Care making process. Major Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of process and engineering technologies to achieve category strategic business objectives and the global Supply Chain strategy. Deliver process development support plus innovation contribute to meaningful product/package benefits and competitive differentiation. Build competitive advantage by identifying, evaluating, and championing technical advancements and innovations. Stay abreast of supplier and competitor’s new developments. Manage technical and manufacturing aspects for the commercialization of new products. Co-leads with R&D (I&S) the technology transfer process for implementation of new product commercialization, identified Funding the Growth projects, and continuous improvement in both Colgate-Palmolive & 3rd party regional manufacturing locations. Participate in annual technology and innovation reviews and ensure early involvement with Early Research and Product development Responsibility for Process Technology investment strategy and execution (Develop, justify, manage, and execute capital projects in pilot plant.) Ensure effective utilization of the Process Technology to promote the effective design, installation, validation, and implementation of new process technologies in our factories in Asia. Develops and validates (w/CMS) process improvements in support of existing product portfolio. Co-own the “technical side” of Tech Transfer with Product Development, develops a formal bundle and partners with I&S for the process development and/or validation Gains knowledge of Technology trends and anticipates the impacts on the Supply Chain Maintains thorough knowledge of CP’s Manufacturing equipment and configurations. Provides early input to the PD group to anticipate any possible hurdles to new developments and formula changes. Communicates standards / guidelines in field of expertise to Senior Management. Uses a systematic project management approach to share technical data on process SOP, any raw material specific requirement that poses potential risks and any other relevant findings in formula development that will have risk/impact in plant environment Negotiate with and influence divisional and category management regarding resources and project direction on behalf of project teams. Monitor project/program progress, challenge assumptions and data to improve results, modify plans, and take necessary corrective actions. Ensure process, equipment, and operational specifications are consistent with KPI goals and support Quality and EHS Standards. Ensure efficient and timely documentation and/or transfer of manufacturing and engineering technologies throughout the Colgate world. Drive programs that drive continuous improvement of Colgate's worldwide operations, with a focus on reliability of supply, and minimization of Total Delivered Cost. Develop and mentor junior engineers, by providing specific technical training, business/organizational understanding, coaching, feedback, and career counseling. Provide input to management on performance evaluation, career development plans, and succession planning for the department. Support and conduct plant FP&R, EHS and Quality related requirements. Required qualifications Education/ Experience: BS or MS in a chemical or mechanical engineering fields or chemistry with strong mechanical aptitude; MBA a plus. 10+ years of technical experience, with 5+ years of project management experience, process engineering experience is preferred; other GSC.
