We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant specialist.

Business: Emerging Technology

Principal responsibilities
1. Focus on developing user interfaces to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design prototypes into high-quality code, building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
2. Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilising their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand. This will include Backend API Integration, Containerization & Deployment, CI/CD & Automation, Performance Optimization, and Code Quality & Best Practices.
3. End-to-end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey.
4. Liaise with other engineers, architects and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service's direction.
5. Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality
6. Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end-to-end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge
7. Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release/change
8. Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team
9. Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
10. Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement
11. Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc.

2. A university graduate. Graduates from an international top university highly preferred, MS or PhD preferred.
3. Full stack software engineering capability including front-end, middleware, backend is preferred.
4. Knowledge of “Talk is cheap. Show me the code” --- Linus Torvalds (2000) Hands-on engineering capabilities in state-of-the-art technologies (AI, IoTs, etc.) is a must.
5. Proven contribution to international academic and industrial communities and/or open source communities will be a huge advantage.
6. Business knowledge in financial services industry (retail, wholesale and investment banking, wealth management, insurance, financial markets, etc.) is preferred.
7. Capability of reading newest academic and research papers in the areas of banking, financial services and technologies is a must.
8. Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills; excellent team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision

13. Be able to work across multiple domains of knowledge and skills, and share knowledge across the team. We like people who dig down, understand concepts in detail.
14. Knowledge of architecture disciplines and the ability put the governance into practice, knowledge of industry standards will be an advantage.
