The business development manager is a commercial role that has overall responsibility for exploring potential business growth opportunities in South China Region /Greater China Area. The purpose of the role is capture the changes of each sub-market business trend through working closely with local partners and government and co-create local logistics products together with product managers and branch, to build future growth plan.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Explores for sales and vol growth with expected GP contributions. Manages monthly sales related reports, e.g. productivity, sales performance, KPIs, forecast & budget Maintains excellent relationship with existing customers and builds trustful relationship with new customers Manages customers/sales database & provide analysis & recommendations Works/Networks with sales teams in other countries for opportunities Coordinates with other departments to ensure excellent services to our customers Seeks for improvements on sales results & services level Updates/Gathers customers intelligence, market trends and information to management Supervises, motivates & trains the members of sales team Deliver local industry insights for sales
SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB
At least 3 years' business development/sales experience in freight forwarding industry。 Highly collaborative with the ability to lead cross-functional and remote project terms both locally and internationally. Analytical and customer-centric mindset Well-developed, confident communication, persuasiveness, influencing, presentation and negotiating skills Self-motivated and performance-driven; strategic thinking with both short- and long-term planning skills Strengths in time management with regards to managing multiple objectives and priorities Result-orientated, strong analytical and project management skills Proficient in MS office Business travel is required occasionally Proficiency in spoken and written English as required
