Job Responsibilities - Critically think about metabolic pathways to optimize flux to target desired product. Design experiments to diagnose and address potential bottlenecks. Understand byproduct formation and how to reduce it - Carry out research on natural products, active secondary metabolites, and biosynthetic technology according to company requirements; - Implement the experimental plan according to the project requirements, carry out the construction of genetic engineering bacteria or the genetic modification of target microorganisms; - Through molecular biology, metabolic engineering, and synthetic biology methods, construct, clone, domesticate, and screen to obtain engineered strains suitable for industrial production; - Develop and execute experimental plans according to project requirements, analyze experimental results and data, and complete project reports; - Complete other related tasks arranged by the company. Job requirements: - Bachelor and masters degree in bioengineering, molecular biology or microbiology and other related majors; PhD degree is not required but - A related research background in molecular biology, enzyme engineering or metabolic engineering is preferred; - Master experimental skills such as genetic engineering, protein expression and purification technology, and experience in construction, cloning, domestication, screening, and fermentation is preferred; - Be able to complete the experiment under guidance and record the results of the experiment; - Have good communication skills, work conscientiously, have a strong sense of work responsibility and teamwork spirit. - High level of English fluency (both writing and speaking). The person needs to clearly write weekly summaries in English and keep an updated electron lab notebook (ELN). - This person will be responsible for designing and executing experiments in a high throughput format. The person needs to manage junior scientists who will assist with experiment execution.
