Key Responsibilities:
1. Collection Development:
● Collaborate with the Berlin-based design team to develop seasonal collections for garments and shoes.
● Ensure that all products align with the company’s design vision, quality standards, and sustainability goals.
2. Proto Sample Checking:
● Oversee the creation and evaluation of proto samples, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality requirements.
● Conduct thorough inspections of proto samples, providing detailed feedback to suppliers and manufacturers.
3. Tech Pack and Workbook Creation:
● Develop comprehensive tech packs and workbooks for each product, including detailed specifications, materials, and construction details.
● Ensure that all documentation is accurate, clear, and easily understood by suppliers and manufacturers.
4. Fitting and Sample Approvals:
● Conduct fittings sessions to ensure that garments and shoes fit correctly and meet design requirements.
● Approve final samples, ensuring they meet all quality and design standards before production.
5. Color Lapdips Approvals:
● Approve color lapdips to ensure consistency and accuracy in color matching.
● Work closely with suppliers to resolve any color-related issues.
6. Supplier and Manufacturer Coordination:
● Work with suppliers and factories in China to resolve technical issues and ensure on-time sample delivery.
● Ensure timely and effective communication between the design team, suppliers, and manufacturers.
● Oversee pre-production sample approval and supervise sample comments and evaluations, ensuring measurements, workmanship, and fittings meet standards.
7. Project Management:
● Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines are met and products are delivered on time.
● Provide regular updates to the Berlin-based team on the progress of collection development.
