- Analysis and verification of HV battery mechanical concept - Creation and conversion of technical drawing of HV battery mechanical component - Ensure the fulfillment of HV battery mechanical component specifications - Problem investigation, reporting & resolution under requested milestone and program timing - Coordinate with electrical, thermal design, system, and test engineers until project SOP - Following up the development timeline to ensure the smooth progress of the project - Support on benchmarking of mechanical parts for the Chinese Market - Support of the HV battery structural related AWS, Job split negotiation - Support and accomplish the HV battery product definition, HV battery concept layout, HV battery performance and parameter determination. - Making development time plan, and negotiation the concept with companies - Design the battery mechanical structure, making evaluation and optimization measure according to the simulation results. - Determination the HVB relevant parts technical requirement, material, etc. - Accomplish the detailed design of HVB parts and finish the TM/TZ CAD data. - Composing HVB PDM, RFQ documents, etc.
- Supporting for composing the P/B/BMG/K-release checklist and making the release process or recommendation according to PEP development process.
Qualification: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, electrochemistry, automotive engineering or equivalent. - Minimum 5 years of professional experience as mechanical engineer in battery company or OEMs. - Profound knowledge of mechanical design requirements of the automotive high voltage battery components and assembly, including the function of each component, drawings, specifications, and production requirements. - Familiar with mechanical integration of automotive high voltage systems, component placement and routing of cables and tubes. - Aware of ISO 26262 and functional safety requirements. - Proficiency in working with CAD software, i.e. CATIA, including drawing creation and conversion. - Familiar with MS such as WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, etc. - Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese, business fluent in written & spoken, German is a plus.
