Support the administrative functions and coordination of quality plans and processes for new and existing product lines. Act as the quality and efficiency specialist for enhancements, administration and communication relative to the APQP for OEM and Consumer processes. Ensure compliance with all existing and new requirements for all facilities in regards to Tier 1, Tier 2 and at times Tier 3 auditing of supply factories.. Prepare, plan and lead quality control plans with OEM customers. Assist in conference calls, project reviews P3, PPAP & Mass production meetings as required. Assist in identifying, implementing and sustaining improvement initiatives
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Generate and maintain APQP documentation including new & existing product PPAP documentation, ISO work instructions, process maps, SOP’s, and CAPA’s
Utilize quality tools to identify root cause, document and implement sustainable solutions. Tools to include 8D, 5 why, fishbone diagrams, histograms, capability studies, Cpk and control charting as well as others.
Conduct external supplier audits, as well as start to administer the audits, under the guidance of the Director of Global Quality, in the ARAS quality software.
Responsible for ensuring quality management system documentation and SOP’s are up to date and current. This also will involve ensuring approved documents are distributed to the various MiTek facilities.
Responsible for the data collection and reporting of quality measurement metrics at various MiTek supplier facilities.
