I. Tasks / activities:
o Product responsibility: The job holder is product responsible according to the Quality-Management-Manual. For those regards the coordinates the following projects:
o Product-modification
o Creation of new products in the system and maintenance of them
o Escort of new product scale up to regular production process
o Support for products transfer from R&D Lab China or transfer to affiliated subsidiaries
o Customer specific adjustments of products
o Raw material exchange if needed
o Optimization of raw material portfolio
o Qualification of alternative raw material suppliers
o Technical industry responsibility: The job holder optimizes the industry product-portfolio in the extend of:
o Suitability of the products
o Technical requirements from the market
o Visit customers together with technicians/sales to solve problems that require deeper technical understanding
II. Knowledge / skills required for the position
o B. Sc., B. Eng. or similar degree in Coating Chemistry or similar degree in Chemis-try/Chemistry engineering with at least 3 years working experience in the coating chemistry field. Abroad study background is preferred
o Good knowledge about the coating industry, its customer structure and raw material market
o Knowledge about OEM-testing and analytical testing methods which are related to coating development or failure analytics
o Good technical, analytical, creative, open minded and market-oriented thinking
o Good ability to work under pressure and well-developed self-organization and intrinsic motivation
o Ability to negotiate and strength to enforce company/department interests
o Intercultural competence at least for Europe and Asia
o Good knowledge of MS office, SAP system and Mango system
o Language knowledge: fluent English (including technical English), German or Chinese a plus
o Working experience in international companies is preferred
o Good applicational know how and ability to applicate paint manually (mostly via pneumatic spray gun). Other application equipment knowledge is a plus
