The HSE Specialist plays a key role in the implementation and ongoing surveillance of HSE Policy, standards and programs in close cooperation with the regional HSE and relevant stakeholders for both Supply Chain and Service division activities within China. The HSE function exists to provide all employees with a safe and healthy working environment and is responsible in ensuring the organization complies with HSE regulations and laws. This role will be based on site in Suzhou Supply Chain Factory. The HSE Specialist will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance for ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 9001 and organizing regular internal & external assessment in Suzhou plant. The HSE Specialist will be responsible for administrative task such as facility maintenance directly related to safety in Suzhou plant.
Main Tasks
61 Ensure that all HSE related legal requirements are accurately interpreted, communicated, documented and complied with across Supply Chain and Service activities. 61 Lead and collaborate in the creation of HSE policies, safe operating procedures, and emergency response plans specific to HSE incidents. 61 Partner with stakeholders to coordinate and drive HSE programs and campaigns aimed at reducing occupational injuries and illnesses. 61 Organize and facilitate comprehensive HSE education and training sessions, ensuring all activities are documented for compliance and effectiveness. 61 Facilitate hazard identification and risk assessment processes with active stakeholder involvement. 61 Coordinate and participate in emergency rescue drill to ensure preparedness for potential HSE incidents. 61 Conduct regular inspections to assess employee adherence to HSE practices. Promptly identify and investigate potential hazards, recommending actionable improvements to enhance HSE management. 61 Proactively collaborates with stakeholders to address and rectify unsafe HSE practices. 61 Oversee the implementation of corrective actions and safety improvement measures to ensure ongoing compliance with HSE standards. 61 Provide and communicate HSE related materials to employees in a language they understand. 61 Investigate HSE incidents by analyzing root causes and implementing prompt corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence, ensuring measures are tracked to closure. 61 Ensure periodic and mandatory HSE reporting to regional HSE and local governmental bodies as required. 61 Liaise with governmental bodies and agencies during site inspections, providing guidance to mitigate identified non-compliance risks. 61 Advised the Manufacturing Director on emergency response protocol. 61 Develop, implement and maintain the ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 9001 and implement initiatives to ensure continual improvement. 61 Accountable for administrative task such as facility maintenance directly related to safety and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure risks are mitigated. 61 Perform other HSE duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities 61 Knowledge of and expertise in applying HSE legislative framework within a site and service environment 61 Good working knowledge with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 9001 61 Excellent skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning, communicating and organizing 61 Capacity to clarify needs of others and work with them to develop and implement cost effective and practical solutions 61 Effective communication skills - both verbal and written and ability to engage with stakeholders 61 A positive and pragmatic attitude to problem solving within HSE
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
61 5 to 7 years of relevant working experience in HSE 61 HSE experience in Field Service would be an advantage 61 Good working knowledge with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 9001 61 Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin 61 Recognized HSE qualifications, accepted by local governmental bodies 61 Demonstrable HSE experience and proven track record is preferred. 61 Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at Senior and operational levels internally to the organization 61 Knowledge of the business, specific risks and industry approaches advantageous
