Create and improve packaging instructions Create packaging instructions for all new parts in the CPC assortment, either based on drawings or the physical parts Review existing packing instructions when damages due to the packing have been reported or when new more sustainable or cost effective solutions are available Make RFQ’s for new packaging materials Store all packing instructions in the central system Check if suppliers follow their packing instructions and write Equality reports in case of deviations Talk with local packaging suppliers to find the best cost effective and sustainable packaging solutions
Analyse and mitigate quality deviations Analyse all reported quality deviations and make a root cause analyse Discuss the root cause of a deviation with operations in order to find structural improvements Implement process improvements together with operations Report the quality KPI’s and all implemented improvements
Investigate and block parts with technical deviations Analyse quality reports and complaints regarding parts with technical deviations Check parts which have been blocked by operations (eg fallen pallets) Check the stock of these parts using technical drawings When necessary use measuring tools to verify the dimensions of a part Block parts which are not according to specifications Write and follow up of Equality reports towards suppliers of deviating parts Judge the by the supplier proposed corrective action plans and agree on scrap, return or rework the deviating stock Check next shipments of parts with a corrective action plan by putting blocking code on them (remove blocking code when OK)
Train warehouse co-workers Train co-workers how to correct use the packaging material Train co-workers whenever process improvements have been made as a consequence of quality deviations
Stock counting and managing stocks of packaging materials Organise cycle count activities in order to count each part at least once every year Register the result of the cycle count activities Investigate stock discrepancies and perform stock adjustments Monitor the stock of packaging materials at the CPC warehouse and at the suppliers who order our packing material Place orders for packaging materials and follow up of these orders Organise the return flow of empty returnable packaging to the packaging pool in Rugao.
