Support the execution of the material plan on a daily basis to meet delivery and inventory targets. - Release Planned Orders per MRP or other systems suggestions - Manage Past Due Purchase Order delivery dates - Reschedule existing Purchase Orders delivery dates based on production needs - Expedite Purchase Orders as necessary to meet production needs - Sets up and maintain accurate item attribute data to support MRP - Lead Time Level - Order Policy - Value Policy - Commodity Code - Buyer/Planner Number - Standard Cost - UOM - Safety Stock - ABC Code - Min-Max Level - Reorder Point -Support company strategic plan in the areas of quality, delivery and inventory - Provide forecasts to Suppliers - Strives for continuous improvement by working with suppliers on lead time and lot size - Communicate major problems to management - Participate in cycle count activities and help resolve issues - Conduct root cause analysis process with suppliers to improve their performance on quality and delivery -Take the lead in managing the change process associated with new & existing products - Purchase materials to support new product introductions - Manage engineering changes (ECO’s) so as to not impact delivery and inventory - Minimize potential excess and obsolete inventory -Maintain good performance on business conduct consistent with company policy, accepted practice and applicable regulations -Establish project planning and conduct E-Sourcing to maximize cost saving and productivity (for local MRO & equipment purchasing only)
Qualifications: -4+ experience in procurement/material planning in a foreign invested companies. -Undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering -Skills of using spreadsheet, graphics and presentation to report KPI performance -Proficient written and oral communications skills in both English and Chinese. -Procurement qualification is preferred -Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred
