Calix is a cloud and appliance-based platform and managed services company. Broadband service providers leverage the Calix broadband platform, cloud, and managed services to simplify operations, engagement, and service, innovate for their consumer, business. and municipal subscribers and grow their business and the communities they serve.
We are the EXOS L3 FT team, part of the development team, primarily responsible for the development, execution, and analysis of functional testing during the product development phase. We are committed to identifying and resolving issues early to ensure product quality and performance.
The successful candidate will assist in analyzing requirements, designing functional test cases based on those requirements, executing the tests, and submitting test reports for Calix EXOS products. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Calix EXOS products.
Responsibilities:
61Set up and maintain test beds for CPE, and perform service tests on various CPE products.
61Conduct Layer 3 function tests on CPE products, including DHCPv4/DHCPv6, PPPoE, DNS, Route, NAT, etc.
61Perform management tests on CPE products, such as TR069, MAP, USP, etc.
61Execute system tests, including scaling, capacity, stress, robustness, and performance tests.
61Participate in developing test strategies and create test cases for GPON/NGPON/XGSPON/AE.
61Conduct regression testing on new software and hardware for data, VoIP, video, QoS, etc.
61Write clear, concise, and understandable problem descriptions and test reports.
61Reproduce field issues and validate their resolution.
Qualifications:
61Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optical Telecommunication, or equivalent.
61Over 5 years of work experience in telecommunications or software test development.
61At least 4 years of experience in data communications or home gateway product testing, Active Ethernet, Wi-Fi, L2, and L3 protocols, with a deep understanding of the IPv4/IPv6 protocol stack.
61Familiarity with the Linux operating system and common command operations.
61Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
61Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and a strong drive for results and continuous improvement.
61Good oral and written communication skills in English.
