Job Tasks 1. Perform routine laboratory Quality Control functions, including wet chemical, physical, and instrumental analysis to make sure products meet specifications, HPLC / UPLC experience is needed 2. Develop methods of analysis for new products or existing products 3. Verify methods are accurate and are consistent with FDA results 4. Send out samples for APC or customer’s special testing 5. Maintain equipment in the lab, perform PMs, and service or call for service as needed 6. Oversee that all calibrations and checks are done as needed on equipment and methods 7. Responsible for writing/updating Lab Operating Procedures. 8. Confirm to safe laboratory practices in accordance with Chemical Hygiene Plan and regulations. 9. Enter data into spreadsheets, perform housekeeping duties for laboratory chemicals 10. Recognize and report any food safety issues
Required Experience 1. Bachelor degree of Chemistry Analysis, applied science or Chemistry 2. Analytical background in various techniques including UPLC / HPLC experience required, Spectro photometer, Ion chromatography, titration, metals analysis 3. Applicant should have 2+ years’ experience in laboratory analysis operations 4. Familiar with product FDA certification process is preferred 5. Familiarity with the operation of laboratory instrumentation, wet analysis techniques 6. Must be a self-starter with a “can-do attitude” that can work independently with minimal supervision 7. Good communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
