A brief summary of the position as below The position is responsible for developing in house production in press shop and processes. Ensure target achievement of equipment in press shop, establish processes in terms of technical, quality, cost and project capacities. The automation engineer is responsible for press shop equipment, interfacing between production, maintenance, logistic, purchasing, IT and suppliers to ensure that press shop achieve the capacity according to the agreed volumes. Support of planning projects in internal committees. Implementation of innovations and improvements in the area of responsibility. Implementation of new cost-optimized manufacturing concepts. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: 13Responsible for organizing electrical drawing review, machine installation, commissioning, optimization and acceptance of new stamping equipment. Planning of press shop production concepts and structures, utilize a comprehensive database for pinpointing electrical and electronic faults within complex equipment control systems. Evaluating and making presentation the individual KPIs (production capacity, SHE, automation, etc.) in committees and pointing out solution strategies in case of target deviations. Responsible for press automation and electrical automation, be able to review electrical schematic diagram of press and robot. Technical competence in various types of press shop equipment, including mechanical presses, cranes, scrap system, tryout press etc. Confident utilization of department specific IT-systems (SCADA, MES, SAP), familiar with process layout and function description to be able to establish press line and automation network architecture to interface IT input. Utilize digital twins to develop and test PLC programs, identify potential bottlenecks, and optimize press cycle times before physical line implementation. Development of strategies for optimal production (SPM stokes per minute). Technical competence in industrial networks (PROFINET, ETHERNET) and safety concepts, industrial robots, PLC Programming such as SIMENZ TIA Portal software. Steering internal and external customers, suppliers during plant construction and ramp-up of new equipment in compliance with the product development process. Other tasks assigned by manager. Education and/or Experience Degree in technical engineering in one of the following subjects: Electromechanics, Mechanical engineering, Automation. Bachelor's degree with more than 5years working experience or master's degree with at least 2 years working experience. Skilled at PLC programming techniques using Siemens PLC and TIA Portal software. Good understanding of motion control principles, encoder feedback mechanisms, and advanced control algorithms. Work independently, effectively manage multiple tasks, results-oriented environment and perform well. Communication fluently in English. Strong knowledge of automation design of press line, experience of foundations and utilities is a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge about press shop standards, processes and system. VW experience is a plus. High degree of responsibility and professionalism with self-organizing skills. Communication skills and ability to work with MS-office to create consistent presentations. Skills of using auto CAD, Catia software. Experience in a cross-cultural work environment is a plus. Communication fluently in English and Chinese.
