An enterprise architect is an IT professional who ensures an organization’s IT strategy is aligned with its business goals. They analyse business properties, business needs, long term goals and translate those into Process, Infrastructure and Software needs.
Scania production company is a new initiative in China, where we have copied existing systems from our head operations in Sweden, along with local adaptations needed, to establish a production unit to add to global production capacity. In doing so we have delivered the minimum viable product to establish operations.
The challenge from here is to set and establish the intended future architecture, in which we will need to have a careful balance between ongoing operations, maintaining maximum up time, while delicately improving the IT landscape according to the future business needs.

Responsibilities As an enterprise architect for Scania production company, you would expect expected to: 61 Evaluate technology strategy, organization, business applications. 61 Advise on enterprise architecture landscape, including technology, information, data, security, and integration 61 Implement large-scale, innovative IT solutions to drive business transformation. 61 Evaluate and identify IT-related risks. 61 Develop technology strategy and planning deliverables to address IT risks and improve the effectiveness of the IT organization, especially in business application integration. 61 Produce target-state solution architecture, and perform assessments and gap analysis. 61 Help formulate the overall solution strategies and roadmaps. 61 Lead or consult to Architecture Review Board 61 Participate in ensuring that the organisation has the capacity and competence to deliver according to established roadmaps. 61 Work as part of a team and organisation that establishes common processes, policies, methods and training for operational departments and organisations 61 To maintain and keep architectural artifacts up-to-date as well as depicting various transitional snapshots towards the desired future architecture 61 Manage and lead to architecture work for China
Certifications and qualifications Bachelor or masters degree in computer science or other IT related discipline IASA: Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA) Togaf: used to be a standard way to deal with architecture. Archimate: framework for modelling Safe for Architects
Skills To be as successful enterprise architect within Scania production China, candidates must have a deep knowledge of enterprise architecture best practices and have a strong leadership and organisational skills.
