Qualifications 61 Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other engineering discipline OR Chemistry, Biology, or other life science discipline 61 5 years of Process Safety program implementation with increased responsibility and leadership Key Responsibilities 61Lead Process Safety program implementation according to internal standards and applicable regulations 61Serve as Process Safety resource on new project teams. Lead process safety deliverables including: oReview project proposals and identify hazards and safeguards oFacilitate Process Hazard Analysis using HAZOP methodology oOversee completion of actions identified in different reviews and confirm completion at relevant stages oFacilitate Pre-Start Up Safety review 61Lead site process safety program efforts oProviding local training on process safety requirements oFacilitate hazard assessments oImplement new standards and program changes oOversee management of change compliance with process safety requirements oParticipate in incident investigation oParticipate in program audits 61Provide technical expertise on site in the following process safety areas following corporate standards and methods oSafety Instrumented System design and maintenance oQuantitative risk assessment oFacilitate Process Hazard reviews and revalidations oRelief device and explosion protection design oMechanical integrity oContribute to the Life Science Business Process Safety Center of Excellence by collaborating with other Process Safety resources to build internal best practices, develop and present trainings, and share incident investigations. Qualifications 61Experience with HAZOP and other industry standard Process Hazard Analysis techniques 61Knowledge and experience with quantitative risk assessment techniques such as LOPA 61Ability to interpret technical documentation such as piping and instrumentation diagrams, standard operating procedures, interlocks, and control narrative, etc 61Excellent interpersonal skills including confident, supportive, collaborative, respectful communication 61Knowledgeable and experienced with relevant safety and environmental regulations 61Familiar with basic safety integrity level (SIL) identification 61Basic knowledge of relief device design and calculation 61Knowledge of Mechanical Integrity principals
