The Supplier Coordinator manages Harbor Freight Tools (HFT) vendors in assigned area, this is a critical role set to bridge the communication between our vendors and the Shanghai Representative office. The role is required to frequently visit HFT vendors, verify the change of factory capacity, drive order confirmation, production plan and on time delivery and collect key information from vendors. The role is also required to maintain relationship with vendors, facilitate the mutual understanding and continuous business growth between vendor and HFT. A strong aptitude for analytics, creative problem solving and an ability to drive the improvement of the on time delivery of vendors is essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Travel 3-5 days a week to various factories in assigned area or location. · Drive HFT production needs. Gather and communicate real-time production information from HFT vendors and put together insightful visit reports. · Track production schedule of open HFT orders and update PO master file on weekly basis. · Identify order delays, supply chain risks and assess underlying root cause and effect of the issues. E.g. Environmental Enforcement, Capacity, Financial Issue, Resource Shortage, etc. Analyze quantitative information from vendors, provide feasible solutions to help resolve issues and problems. · Verify and update vendor information on regular basis. E.g. Capacity, Lead Time, Factory Reconcile, General Information, etc. · Proactively communicate both internally within HFT and externally with vendors to achieve the ideal results. · Partner with other VM team members to get jobs done. Actively share information, ideas, knowledge and working experience to seize for continuous improvement. · Actively get involved in team activities. E.g. Weekly Meeting, Quarterly Meeting, etc. · Additional duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications – Education and Experience · Available for Home Office. · Hard Working, get used to travel frequently. · Good at time management and self-management. · Technical/Vocational Degree preferred. · Good at communication and execution. · Minimum 2 years of relevant production and manufacturing or supply chain management experience. Quality assurance and supplier quality engineering background is preferred. · Experience with a fast-paced, high volume, efficient organization. · Ability generates and analyze reports using data obtained in field. · Must be proficient with computers and automated process and systems. Proficient with MS Office software. E.g. Excel, Power Point. · Proficiency in written is a must and oral English is preferred. · Driving license with two years driving experience is preferred.
