The purpose of the job is to support the implementation BU’s overall commercial and sustainability strategy and expand LyondellBasell APS Compounds business in Transportation. This position will be strongly focusing on new business development through driving innovation, building up and managing new business pipeline to improve either market share or project profitability in assigned OEMs in Transportation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1) Overall to build up innovative pipelines to achieve 0.5MM US$ CM1 Plus
2) New Business Development - Identify and define key opportunities and innovations with the corresponding OEMs and processors based on a deep technical understanding of applications and requirements; - Explore new specifications and trends with OEMs; - Manage the interfaces with appropriate Regional Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, Marketing Managers, Product Development, Product and Supply Management for the key programs; - Interact between key OEMs and project related processors based on high knowledge of the product properties and process.
3) Strategy Development - Develop key OEMs management strategy with strong liaison to the sales team in terms of key programs, positioning of the product portfolio, as well as price management; - Develop new business development strategy on innovation.
4) Strategy Execution - Develop and manage key OEMs customer relationship and support sales team to work out marketing concepts following key processors strategy; - Monitor key OEMs market share and project related processors; - Perform business analysis for key OEMs or key processors.
5) Product Stewardship - Assess new applications in compliance with LYB policies to mitigate liability exposure caused by either application or products.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Min Requirement: Education: 1. University bachelor degree
Work Experience: 1. Min 5 years’ experience in chemical industry, business development, commercial background, and project management;
Preferred Requirement: Education: 2. University bachelor degree in engineering (Polymer Science is preferred); Master in technology or MBA is a plus.
Work Experience: 2. Min 5 years’ experience in chemical industry, business development, commercial background, and project management; an engineering material compounds industry background is preferable; 3. Deep knowledge in engineering material compound products and related processing technology; Good knowledge on tooling, injection molding, thermal forming and blow molding is preferred; 4. Chemical or polymer industry background is preferred.
