University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit an Assistant Research Fellow

Your Responsibility

Your key responsibilities include:

To provide administrative support for undergraduate and postgraduate students' research activities, including student research conferences, research placements, and other related tasks.
To undertake supervised research which may include conducting literature reviews, supporting laboratory works, analyzing data, generating reports; and support drafting research reports and papers with academics for publications, translating research proposals for international academics for bidding for various domestic funding schemes, and etc.
To support the research activities and events, such as international conferences, research seminars, public lectures, workshops, etc. organized by the Faculty, Research Groups and Research Centres, and support the external engagement with relevant stakeholders and developing the potential research collaborations.
To assist the Faculty in developing ESI rankings for relevant disciplines.
To support the data analysis and management in terms of research performance of the Faculty, Research Groups, Departments and individual academics.
To support the administrative work for academics in the Research Groups and Research Centres, and to support the operational work for the Research Groups and Research Centres.
To support the Faculty's business development programs and research conferences.
To provide the support in managing the whole lifecycle of various research projects, e.g. assisting in preparing the research proposals and funding application documents, supporting the interim reviews and closure processes, etc.
To assist academic staff in applying for talent schemes.
To provide the assistance in enhancing the PGR student experience.
To participate in training and staff development events as trainer or trainee as appropriate.
To maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness.
To undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.


About You

Master's degree, preferably in science and engineering disciplines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity on complex information.
