Position Summary 83 The Test Engineer requires to lead the test related tasks of the BorgWarner Ningbo Plant. This involve working with other engineers to define test requirements, using company standard procedures or developing measurement systems to determine requested information, as well as coordinating with Technicians and Designers to assist in completing requested tests. Be familiar with hydraulic / electrical / electronic equipment. Work with test technician to lead all chain tests, chain prototype, and VCT / solenoid samples preparation. Manage chain fatigue / wear-in tester and other chain test related equipment maintenance and so on. For training and development purposes, assignments may include some work that is typical of a higher-level position.
Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities 83 Manage all chain tests. 83 Manage the test equipment, sensor calibration, and arrange the tasks to technician. 83 Lead the chain prototype and VCT / solenoid samples preparation. 83 Conduct to analyze the test results and work close with Production Engineer / Application Engineer to do failure analysis. 83 Schedule the test planning and report to leader regularly. 83 Be familiar with mechanical drawing review and analysis. 83 Be able to do troubleshooting of rotating mechanical system and low voltage measurement system. 83 Familiar with programming of engineering software (Minitab) or other quality tooling to facilitate data reduction and analysis. 83 Ability to effectively communicate results and issues both verbally and in writing. 83 Be conscious of lab quality management and continuous improvement. 83 Ability to complete other related test tasks which arranged by leader.

Requirements / Qualifications 83 Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology 83 At least 3 years of experience in automotive test field required. 83 Proficient in understanding of engine systems. Low voltage electrical related working experience preferred 83 Good self-learning ability preferred. 83 Good communication skill and team-work spirit required. 83 Good English speaking and orientation skill preferred.
