University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Procurement Officer in Procurement Centre Your Responsibility Your key responsibilities include: 1. Adhere to the university’s Procurement Management Policy and the UNNC Procurement Playbook; 2. Manage the procurement services by completing or managing the comprehensive and coordinated programme of procurement activities, aligned with Procurement Centre’s standard procedures and risk management; 3. Ensure the prompt and effective delivery of essential goods and services to the University's administrative and academic departments by organizing and coordinating the various internal and external stakeholders in the most efficient way possible; 4. To ensure that purchasing activities are accomplished with a minimum time lag and in accordance with regulatory requirements by developing, implementing, and interpreting purchasing and compliant procedures in accordance with University and government policies; 5. Protect the interests of the University regarding procurement by serving as the University's official representative in discussions between vendors and University departments on purchasing issues, shipping, receiving, invoicing, and all other areas of responsibility, and by monitoring vendor activities for compliance with all contract terms and conditions; 6. Remain competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development training in technical knowledge field; 7. Maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness; 8. Assist Director of Procurement Centre to enhance and improve the procurement policy and procedures, and comply with them in daily work, leveraging tools to optimize the conduct of procurement initiatives. About You 1. Minimum of three years’ experience in procurement working role; 2. Bachelor Degree in relevant subject area; 3. Experience of managing the procurement projects independently; 4. Excellent English written and oral communication skills; 5. Excellent English and Mandarin presentation skills; 6. Excellent IT skills in a wide range of software packages (especially ppt skills); 7. Efficient and vigorous operational working competency, can strictly control the documentary operational mistakes; 8. Fast learning and adjustments based on the upgraded internal and external requirements and changes. About Us Join a unique British University in China.
