The responsibility is research and development focusing on technical and economical solutions to have a reliable and competitive product portfolio against the competitors in domestic and abroad markets. The responsibilities also include the team's training on general electrical dimensioning and critical analysis, and problem-solving methodology, providing the necessary tools for Technical Support team execute inquiries.
The person holding this position assures that special projects within the area of responsibility are developed and executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, cost & profitability targets, and schedule.
- Communication and support to Quality, Sales, and Supply Chain effectively;
- Sounding board towards Suppliers by coordinating technical actions aligned with the company's CR and product portfolio strategies;
- Provide technical support to Technical Sales for new products, special designs and customization;
- Coordinating Special Projects, NPIs and NCIs, performing benchmarking and comparing the performance of the current line, following up prototypes, and ensuring technical and legal compliance.
- Leading, supporting, and executing the development of new components and products, ensuring timeframe, quality, cost requirements in alignment with market demands;
- Coordinate system and product configurator improvements by implementing new lines, creating system constraints, and managing engineering systems maintenance;
- Creation of calculation routines, procedures and technical material to support Technical Sales team;
- Implements training programs, procedure changes, standardized processes, as necessary, to support improved team performance, response time, and the overall quality of service.
