Ensure an undisrupted material supply of parts/materials through quantity-compliant and on-time dispatching; ensure on-time and quantity-complaint deliveries in critical situations.
Correct IT-based and determined parts/material requirements, check delivery call-ups, carry out corrections made necessary by excess inventories or lacking parts. Ascertain requirements for special parts, changes, customer requests, etc. that have not been automatically determined. Estimate required quantities based on empirical values, while taking into account cost effectiveness and security of supply.
Post delivery schedules and coordinate them with suppliers. Dispatch special parts (e.g. crucial to installation). Initiate delivery call-ups.
61Eliminating Supply Bottlenecks
Check of call-up confirmations, clarify delivery situations, issue delivery admonishments. Monitor receipts of incoming goods, handling of complaint claims. In case of constraints or other delivery problems (e.g. shortages of primary material, loss of quality, force majeure), taking of measures to ensure production (e.g. choosing/determining an alternative supplier, in consideration of quality, cost effectiveness and security of supply, for example). Carry out dispatching changes and initiate internal clarification (e.g. shifting of sequencing).
61Processing of Individual Orders
Ascertain parts/material requirements, clarify delivery possibilities. Make crucial parts available in due time, selecting from among numerous possible suppliers while taking into account various criteria. Check technical documents for completeness.
61Clarification of Differences
Verify supplier invoices with regard to particular costs and work out responses. Evaluate inventory results, search errors and correct dispatching documents. Develop proposals for the scrapping or capitalisation of surplus material.
61Change Control
Accomplish and coordinate design changes with supplier ( e.g. initiate, coordinate and monitor rectification work).
