Tasks and Responsibilities: a) Based on the functional requirements defined in Door Functional Descriptions (DFD), Door Diagnostic Descriptions (DDD) and related documents, create and document application S/W using the IFE software architecture (application layer) b) Test, and document the test results, of application software developed by colleagues. c) To provide final 'check' function of S/W engineering documents created by colleagues within the S/W engineering team. d) Support failure investigations of S/W items as directed by the S/W Engineering Manager. e) To support fault finding, debugging and commissioning tests of trains, prototypes and general software as directed by the S/W Engineering Manager. f) To perform all tasks in accordance with the requirements of the applicable Software Quality Assurance Plan (SWQAP) for the project. g) To maintain on a daily basis an accurate record of tasks performed using the Engineering Department time booking system.
Professional Experience Required: Required Performed an embedded Software design and development role including the interpretation of written system level functional requirements into specific software requirements. (at least 3 years) Desired Possesses basic working knowledge of EN50126 and the processes to be followed necessary to gain approval from Independent Safety assessor (ISA) to SIL2 level or higher. Possesses good working knowledge with the requirements of EN14752.
