Responsibilities 61 Supplier Improvement Enhancement o Regularly assess suppliers. Based on results, work with them to define improvement aspect, focus on cost reduction. o Lean or 6 Sigma application. Apply relevant tools to optimize purchasing and supplier management, reducing waste and improving quality. 61 New Product Project coordination o Join new product projects at the start. Create plans, define milestones, and follow up the actions within purchasing function. o As the bridge coordinates between purchasing & cross function, R&D and SQE, clearly transfer the project information and collect purchasing engineer’s feedback. o Work together with DE headquarters project coordinator, align and follow project actions, for new parts quotation, supplier awarding, sample/tooling PO on-time delivery, SA set up, etc. 61 Component Cost Analysis o Independently analyze component costs by studying product structures, material prices, and manufacturing. Use findings support buyer for price negotiations o Implement company cost analysis tools and set cost modules for metal, plastic, and electric commodity. o Apply VA / VE in the cost analysis and supplier process improvement. 61 Purchasing Operations o Use purchasing experience to help with daily tasks like contract reviews, sample order tracking, and supplier issue resolution. o Be a responsible buyer for some metal commodities. 61 Other tasks assigned by superior.
Qualification 61 Educational Background o Hold a bachelor's degree or higher. Supply Chain, Business, Engineering - related majors are preferred. 61 Work Experience o Have 3 + years of work experience, with 2 + years in procurement. Manufacturing - sector procurement experience is a plus. o Familiarity with purchasing, and project management,garden tools or electronics component costs is advantageous. 61 Technical Skills o Master cost analysis methods, manage projects well, and have Lean/6 Sigma skills (certifications or experience). Be good at Office, especially advanced Excel, project. Knowing cost-analysis software is better. 61 Soft Skills o Communicate and coordinate well, solve problems, work in teams, be detail - oriented, cost - conscious, responsible, and able to work under pressure. o Fluent in oral & writing English.
