Responsibilities: 1. Build and maintain strong vendor networks 2. Responsible for customer inquiry, sourcing and PD 2. Set up and execute department goal , surpervise and manage team work and performance 3. Develop a collaborative, effective and efficient department 4. Troubleshoot any vendor issues 5. Provide product & sourcing strategy to grow business 6. Research and identify product and market trends 7. Attend trade shows and visits factories
Requirements: 1. Preferred Major: English or International Trade 2. Experience: At least 5 years of merchandising experience and 3-5 years or more management experience. 3. Personality: Self-motivated, team player, well-organized, positive, energetic and strategic thinking 4. Experience in working directly with North American customers 5. Great hardline product /material knowledge(such as crafts/toys/promotion gifts) including costing, manufacture procedure, market trends, quality, safety, import/export requirement, 6. Knowledge of suppliers and factories. Able to discern performance differences between various manufacturers. 7. Able to manage multiple tasks, strong problem solving skills, able to meet deadlines 8. Ability to build strong relationships with the team, communicate effectively with internal and external parties 9. Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, responsive and detail minded 10. Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel and Power Point. 11. Travel is required
