Job Summary:
Area-17 is looking for a creative, talented interior designer to undertake various space designing projects. The ideal candidate for our interior designer position is a team player who is effective at collaborating with colleagues, partners, and clients but is also self-motivated and able to complete work to deadlines with minimal supervision. The function of this position is to manage the execution and coordination of design projects in coordination with the Design Director and the team.

Job Description:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality design with at least 3 proven completed projects that the candidate took part as an important role.

• Participate in every phase of the design process from concept to implementation, including concept design, technical development, and construction follow-up.
• Develop creative design solutions for projects.
• Work under the direct supervision of the creative director, able to offer a creative, efficient, proficient response to the design inputs to guarantee efficient development of the projects.
• Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.
• Follow up constructions to ensure the quality of projects, sensible to potential issues, and ability to solve problems together with the team.
• Cooperate with all parties include colleagues, clients, contractors, suppliers, and other 3rd parties to ensure the timeline of projects.
• Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination.
• Take part and perform in presentations, client meetings.
• Coordinate with colleagues from other Area-17 offices when necessary.
  

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of working experience as an interior designer, hospitality design experience is a must
• A portfolio to prove creativity and design skills
• Excellent usage of graphic design & design software
• Ability to produce effective images, renders, and presentations following the directions of the leading designer
• Ability to develop technical drawings efficiently
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
