1) Leads the product development process, analyzes and evaluates development concepts and prepares alternatives. 2) Develops concepts and arranges respective benchmarks. Adapts concepts to Benteler specific/core processes and regional setup. 3) Conducts several development tasks, e.g. CAD or FEM simulations or responsible for test planning, implementation and analysis of results. 4) Clarifies product specifications with the customer in order to ensure that products meet the requirements regarding quality, costs, timing etc. 5) Defines development targets as well as customer requirements, supports the internal requirement manual (IRM) and DVP. Controls the feasibility and conducts design-FMEAs. 6) Prepares testing specifications and develops engineering specifications. 7) Provides technical documents for cost estimation and test reports. 8) Documents development steps and results and presents them internally and externally. 9) Conducts tolerance investigations and develops dimensioning concepts. 10) Plans and supervises prototype builds, tests and experiments. 11) Supports the technical assessment of suppliers. 12) Defines technical guidelines (drawings, BOM,...) for design and cost estimation or testing guidelines. 13) Plans and supervises the timing of the development progress and the spending curve of the development budget. 14) Protects know how by patent applications and knows patent situation related to the PE. 15) Understands the costs of Benteler specific processes. 16) Supports the value analysis and develops concepts for cost reductions. Supports VA/VE activities for projects in Asian countries.
Requirement: - university degree or adaquate degree - 5 years' working experience in auto chassis - experience of mechanical engineering, and production life managment - good user of Catia/UG, - skills in communication and problem solving. - good English skills both verbal and written
