Job Description:
？ conduct CAP survey at shipyard;
？ conduct ship condition inspection to existing ships at yard, port, anchorage, etc.
？ conduct on/off hire inspection
？ conduct pre-purchase inspection
？ conduct shipyard audit/inspection on buyer’s behalf
？ conduct Marine Warrantee Survey (load-in, load-out)
？ prepare survey/inspection report and close all comments from the client.
？ support Marketing activity by visiting ship managers/owners, presenting BV CAP service;
？ other technical support as required (IHM, N&V test, new building supervision, etc.);
？ assist to collect outstanding payment after job completion;
？ support Local Service Line Leaders deliver assurance and inspection projects;
？ support sales and marketing, business and new service line development; and
？ compliance with the requirements of the BVS QHSE management system.


Requirements:
As a minimum we would expect the successful candidate to meet the following requirements:
？ over 5 years relevant work experience;
？ sailing experience/ship’s superintendent or Class surveyor for ships in service, or repair yard manager experience is preferable.
？ familiarity with statutory and classification society rules;
？ familiarity with marine equipment and system commissioning; and
？ good communication skills, competence in written and spoken English;
？ self-motivated with willingness to work as part of a team, learn and take risks;
？ pro-active in terms of developing competence, problem solving and proposing solutions;
？ capable of problem solving and proposing solutions; and
？ ability to work efficiency to deadlines, under pressure and in situations of uncertainty.
The following would be looked upon favourably
？ familiarity with alternative fuels and systems on board ships, FSRU, FLNG, FPSO etc.
