Position Overview Service engineer with direct experience in servicing integrated marine solutions with power generation, large MV/ LV Drive and automation technologies for the Marine, offshore and Oil & Gas industries. The engineer who takes this position will travel to a customer's site and troubleshoot, test, maintain, and/or commission solutions using generator, switchboard, drives, motors, and industry technology portfolio to satisfy customer requirements or solve problems. A successful engineer will have a strong educational and marine background with a major focus in VFD converter, power and energy systems and automation experience. A passion for the field and drive to learn and tackle new challenges is need. The experienced level engineer must be able to develop customer relationships, be accurate and detailed while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple people, calls and projects demanding attention and time. Job Description: - Responsible for marine electric propulsion system project site service including products and systems FAT, installation supervision, commissioning of power generation system, drive system and automation system on marine and offshore vessels; - Interface directly with customer for commissioning coordination and question answer and resolve issues - Must be proficient in planning workload and specific tasks and be able to achieve completion dates. - Able to understand project-specific documentation (system and functional descriptions, test and commissioning procedures, etc.). - Collaborate with HQ and designers to test, commission, troubleshoot and especially for complex technical problems solving - On call service for troubleshoot equipment faults and carry out corrective action when necessary - Mostly domestic with some international travel to shipyard in other countries or HQ factories or customer facilities is required. - Project coordination and engineering support when necessary
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience - A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, or similar - A minimum of 3-5 years of Marine relevant experience - Marine Power system or Drive/Motor System Solution Design, Service or Commissioning Experience - Strong organization and excellent time management skills - Good English verbal and written communication skills
