RESPONSIBILITIES Strategy Planning & Project Management o Assist Manager to develop the long-term and short-term brand communications strategy, and make necessary adjustments during the implementation. o Manage agencies and vendors to implement the planned brand and PR programs, including but not limited to offline events, fam trips, media coops, gift seeding, etc. o Assist Manager in issues and crisis management. o Assist Manager in negotiating and implementing the co-branding or partnership projects, lead the projects or any other work assigned by Manager. o Assist Manager in measuring and analysing results of brand and PR programs, managing budgets and program ROI. Content Development o Work with PR agency to develop and update brand communications messages and compelling story angles for brand editorial calendar. o Manage brand factsheet, press kit and other assets related to brand. o Write or review press releases, articles, speeches, letters, scripts, and other external/internal communication content required. o Spot media trends, social hot topics and news cycles that create brand story opportunities. o Ensure brand elements and messages are well implemented into cross-functional teams and partners’ activities and communications to guests. ? Media & Influencer Engagement o Cultivate and maintain relationships with key journalists/editors of top-tier media and top-tier influencers in China to ensure Viking/CM-Viking is top-of-mind and positively regarded. o Work with PR agency to proactively pitch media and influencers to achieve highest exposure for brand and products, especially in-between major news announcements/launches. o Work with in-house creative team to manage images and video assets produced by media and influencers. Internal Communications o Assist Manager or Management Team to drive effective employee communications to build Viking culture and staff motivation. QUALIFICATION PROFILE B.S. or B.A. Degree in relevant fields. 2-3 years relevant experience in PR and communications, preferably with experience in premium travel and tourism industry, marketing or PR agency working experience is a plus. Can-do attitude, resourcefulness, a strong sense of teamwork, ability to execute programs independently, ability to handle multiple tasks. Strong network of lifestyle, business, travel trade media and influencer contacts. Proven successes in both traditional and interactive PR channels. Good sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy, high EQ. Strong creativity (e.g., ability to think out of the box in terms of story angles, consumer engagement ideas) and good sense in judging creative work. Excellent presentation and partner negotiation skills. Solid writing skills and ability to put together attractive and compelling PowerPoint presentations. Avid consumer of news, politics, premium lifestyle, entertainment, and pop culture, with interest and exposure to travel and European culture. Excellent English and Mandarin language capabilities both in written and orally. Willing to travel according to business needs.
