Job Title: Project Manager Location: Shanghai, China Reports to: KSFE Supply Chain Manager Direct Reports: None Travel: approximately 50% of time within China. Job Description/Summary: Kee Safety Shanghai Co., Ltd. is the Kee Safety Group business unit for regional supply chain management and commercial sales within China. It is located in Shanghai China and is responsible for procuring products for export to the UK, USA, Europe, and Asia, as well as for developing and expanding the commercial sales business within China. The annual spend for the Supply Chain business is USD $21M+ and sales for the Commercial business is USD $2M+. Both businesses are growing at a rapid pace which means that we need to strengthen the organization by adding a new Project Manager to improve our capability. The ideal candidate will have experience involved with supplier search and quality management in businesses which produce cast, machined and / or sheet metal parts for demanding export customers and will be able to deliver excellent value for money and high-quality products which support the premium brand position, and the high shareholder returns of the Kee Safety Group. Specific Responsibilities: The Project Manager will: ?Research and develop suppliers to meet the social responsibility, cost and quality expectations by projects assigned. ?Work with the Quality Team to ensure that Group technical and quality standards are achieved by suppliers. ?Work with the Supply Chain and Quality Team to ensure any products transferred to the China Supply Chain are done so in a structured and controlled manner. ?Prepare and present regular, timely reports on competitiveness of existing suppliers. ?To keep abreast of changes and developments of existing suppliers. ?Manage the new customers/suppliers and/or new product developments as well as orders until they are qualified to be handed over. ?Perform specific tasks requested by the Supply Chain manager or the General Manager. Requirements: Education and Experience: ?Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited University, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline. Alternatively, a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree may be considered. ?Must have a minimum of 3-5 years proven success in procurement or supplier quality management. ?A good understanding of casting, machining and sheet metal forming processes and cost structure. ?Previous experience in procurement or production of components or products for export to Europe and / or North America is preferred. ?Previous experience in procurement or product development out of China is preferred. Skills and Abilities:
?Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written as well as verbal). ?At minimum of level 6 in English language. ?Proactive mindset to develop and expand existing supplier network. ?Self-motivated, individual contributor and team player. ?A good working knowledge of MS Office (specifically Excel, Word and Outlook). ?Able to learn & adapt in a growing environment. ?Extensive travel is expected in this role throughout the Region which may require the person to work beyond the normal hours of duty.
