Responsibility & Requirements
- Responsible for advanced product design and new technology research & development.
- Analyze and research the market development trend of key products, benchmark the competitor technology and product status.
- Technical communication with customers, vendors, marketing and sales personnel, and other engineering areas during the research and validation of new products.
- Identify and define the application and technical requirement/target.
- Review patent searches to evaluate patentability of proposed designs to ensure that others' patents are not infringed upon, documents and communicates potential IP to ensure TE's IP is protected.
- Innovate original ideas for new products, lead detailed design, feasibility study, prototype and validation,
and transfer the new products to mass production projects.
- Provide innovative iteration solutions to reduce product cost, improve product quality, and improve process efficiency.
- Understand product testing procedures and equipment, review evaluation or test report and confirm accuracy of report contents to ensure product meets quality specification.
- Perform engineering calculations to analyze and describe product to ensure robust design with economic cost.
- Understanding the HSPM (Hazardous Substance Process Management) related goals in the department
and the target of Customer HSF requirement evaluation ratio.
- Transfer the HSF requirement for organization or customer to design specification clearly.?

Qualifications
- B.S. of Engineering or Master or PHD, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Effective communication with customers.
- Be familiar with related automotive standards such as USCAR, SAE, etc.
- Knowledge of relevant new technologies, materials, equipment
and market trends.
- Awareness of cultural differences that may exist in business and
technical practices and applying them effectively in global interactions.
- Good English in listening, oral, reading and written.
