Mission: Assist industry research director and manager to provide insights and analysis across multiple FMCG categories, complete various industry research reports for China’s consumer product markets. The reports need to be accurate, thorough, and actionable. You will achieve this mission by: 1.Take work assignment from industry research director and manager 2.With closely with other industry research team members 3.Take initiative to provide suggestions/recommendations 4.Coordinate with consumer insights team when necessary to fulfill research goals Key Responsibilities: 5.Assist industry research director and manager on project planning including development of briefs, templates and other supporting materials necessary to meet all project goals 6.Design expert interview questionnaires, conduct interviews with trade associations, leading companies and internal associates to gain insights into specific custom research objectives 7.Conduct desk research, utilize in house resources and external published information to understand the market and companies under review 8.Generate high quality and insightful company/industry reports and/or management summaries reports 9.Liaison with our external vendors to make sure that projects are adequately resourced with relevant experts 10.Occasional business travel if required
Desired skills and experience: 1.Research track record, with proven skills in desk research, trade interviewing, analysis and report-writing. 2 - 4 years’ relevant experience preferred 2.Strategic reports writing skills 3.Solid understanding on FMCG market in China 4.Effective written & verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese 5.Quantitative analysis skills and ability to analyze multiple sets of data 6.Attention to detail 7.Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
