CORE TASKS: -Initiate process improvement potentials for all plants within the Organization -Use all existing data sources to identify areas of improvement in the plant/process/organization, lead or facilitate implementation and monitor the sustainability of the results. If data sources or data quality is insufficient, propose or install suitable additional methods for data collection or evaluation -Carrying out economic calculations and feasibility studies concerning plant related projects according the Segment investment guideline, if feasible -Propose new projects, product or process change, identify and control the risks of new project, product or process change by adopting systematical methods and contributing to PHA and MOC, when applicable -Lead/coordinate and follow up on improvement activities -Takes part in optimization activities in other Roehm sites and plants; -Learn Best Practices from other organizations, departments inside and outside of Roehm and adopt them for the needs of the Organization. -Take over responsibilities as 'Project Responsible' or ‘Project Manager’ according Roehm’s definition; when requested, lead/support other projects or initiatives that are necessary to support the business. -Assist trouble-shooting and root-cause-analysis of process problems -Support the plants within the Organization in Process Safety related tasks -Follow strictly on the procedure of Management of Change (MOC) on all improvement activities -Follow up legal, corporate, MUSC site, and plant regulations and requirements on ESHQ related; follow up Roehm regulations in terms of IP-protection and code of conduct, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: -Excellent chemical engineering/technology and process knowledge; -Deep understanding of chemical unit operations, chemical reaction engineering and polymerisation; -Extravert personality with strong tendency to data driven, creative out-of-the-box-thinking and high level communication skills in written, oral and presentation -Experience in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) -Basic knowledge of finance and accounting; reasonable understanding of the business aspects in plant operation -B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering/Polymerisation, e.g. preferably in continual operation petrochemical industry/Or Polymerisation , 5 years professional experience or above
